Client Testimonial for Travis J Consulting from Cole AC
(at the time of this interview, we are in a time and place where Covid-19 has hit the entire world in an unprecedented way. What thoughts—if any—do you have about having Travis J Consulting as your partner on your Web-Presence, through this time?)
Absolutely! As I've mentioned, the great surprise with dealing with Travis was not just that he built us our Website, and built us our Facebook/design of that—but it's [that] doing business with Travis is so easy, and just, stress-free. So that's absolutely spot-on. So, in addition to having somebody constantly watching my Social [Media] presence, keeping everything—the design updated, the looks updated, the information updated—it's more of a friend who has a lot of Social Media knowledge and experience relationship, for us. So, *absolutely* do I agree, yes!
(another of Travis J Consulting's clients has stated the following: "
We enjoyed working with Travis J Consulting on our Website for our business. After going through all of the headaches from other website companies we tried that were very unhelpful and did not live up to their word, we finally found Travis J Consulting, and it was truly a blessing. He was very helpful, and full of great ideas that led us to have a very well-established Website for our customers and potential customers, so they could see exactly what we offer, and are capable of doing." Have you found that to be true, in working with Travis J Consulting?)
That's an interesting question. Because that *has* changed, for me. Initially, I wanted—I was looking, anyway—for help building a Website, help making a Social Media persona. But in hindsight, that's not what I needed. In hindsight, what I needed was somebody who was going to *stay on top of* all of these—Instagram, Facebook, Website, E-mails. Travis Jones has helped us because he stays on top of all of the customers that reach out to us on these Social Media. And why that's important is we're not real good at checking it ourselves, we need that help. And then how to respond to those folks, how to communicate to those folks, and when we have Specials at the shop, or we have changes that're going on at our shop—our Social Media platforms need to change to reflect that. I never thought about any of this when we first started looking. And so Travis—when he came along—we were pleasantly surprised to find out how on-top-of-things he is; and, how he knows how to respond to a lot of—when you start doing things on a Social Media, wide-scale manner, it's not like you have a customer there, face-to-face, that you can talk with, and communicate with clearly; you need someone who can communicate through these new media.
(compared to what you thought about your Web-Presence *before*, after now having worked with Travis J Consulting for a few years, *what has changed* in how you think about your Web-Presence?)
Our future customers are going to be less of the walk-in-the-front-door type, and more of the go-online type. We're well-versed in air conditioning and appliances, but we don't have any experience in Social Media and Web-Pages; we needed help with that. So we reached out to Travis to come in and help us with some solutions. *IMMEDIATELY* we knew we wanted to work with him. We knew we had to modernize. The other thing was, we're looking at expanding. And in Athens—where we're located—we're pretty well-known, and, to, sort of, start moving out into other areas, we felt like the only way we were gonna be able to expand into the new markets was through the Social Media, and Websites, Facebook, Instagram. And we needed help with that. That's not our expertise. We're really good at air conditioning and appliances; we're not Social Media experts. What he was able to bring to us was not just a Website, not just a Facebook Page, not just Instagram. He was able to combine all that into a cohesive, and organized personality for our company. We also have benefitted greatly from Travis' experience in communicating abilities when we need to get a message out to our customers, or to our employees—he knows how to formulate that in the most positive, and informative, and proactive way that you can work; especially through this Covid-19 we've had for the past several months. We've had to keep updated information to not only our customers, but employees. Travis has helped us with that communication tremendously. Then—to boot—what became the "gravy"—the "extra"—was what we didn't know we needed to have, and that was somebody monitoring our Social Media pages. Because we don't have time to do air conditioniong and appliances, *and* monitor our Facebook Page, and monitor our messages on Instagram, and monitor the information we're getting through our Website. So, Travis also stays on top of all that for us. And that's been incredibly helpful.
My name is "Mo" Cole, my family and I, we own Cole Air Conditioning in Athens, TX. My dad started the company in 1967. We do commercial and residential air conditioning; we do residential appliances; attic insulation; and customized sheet metal work..work all over the East Texas and North Texas area.
(in thinking about a Web-Presence for a business or organization—a Website, Social Media, things of that nature—why did you decide to bring in someone like Travis J Consulting?)
(please state your Name and your Business)
Well, we're here, just a couple of weeks before the election, and I don't have to tell anybody—if you start from February [2020] up until now—the different levels of concern, both, from an employer, father, husband, a son (I work with my mother, and she's in that age-group where I had to worry about her health), and the employees' health, customers' health (we were deemed "Essential" from the beginning because of the type of work we do—had to keep peoples' heat and air on, because if they're gonna quarantine at home, especially in Texas, you have to have air conditioning); but it has changed from March [2020] up until now. We've had to adapt, and our message had to adapt with the different levels. We had to run a business. We didn't have time to be updating our Social Media, and our information out on the Web. Having Travis there to keep informing—even our employees to some extent—through our Website; but informing everybody, "Hey, here's the steps we're taking to ensure *your* safety if we come into your home." We needed a way to get that message out to everybody—existing customers, future customers, and it was a good way for our employees to see, "Hey, we're living this because we're putting this out to the public, so we're taking this serious, all of us are." And he [Travis] really helped us reinforce that message, both to the customers, and to the employees. Extremely critical this year.
